SANAA, Nov. 13 (YPA) – Bolivia’s public prosecutor’s office said Wednesday that the death toll in the past 24 hours has risen to seven, according to local media.
More than 60 people were reportedly injured, including 12 receiving treatment at local medical centres, and 169 protesters were arrested by police.
On November 10, The Bolivian President Evo Morales, announced his resignation.
The resignation comes in response to a wave of protests that swept through the Bolivian street, which opposed the results of the recent presidential election, which gave Morales a fourth term.
Bolivian opposition politician Janine Agnes announced Wednesday that she would take the presidency after the resignation of President Evo Morales and his deputy Alvaro García.
She stressed that she will hold presidential elections after the formation of a new central election commission in the country.
