Bolivia’s former president granted asylum in Mexico

SANAA, Nov. 12 (YPA) – Bolivia’s former President Evo Morales announced on Tuesday that he had accepted political asylum in Mexico, saying he was now heading to it.

The move came following protests against the results of the controversial presidential election that has continued since last October, which resulted in his victory, the President of the Senate and the First Vice President of the Senate also announced the resignation.
