8 million Yemenis commemorate Prophet’s birthday in 11 provinces

SANAA, Nov. 9 (YPA) – Hundreds of thousands of Yemenis on Saturday gathered in the public squares in the capital Sanaa and a number of provinces to celebrate the anniversary of Prophet Mohammed’s birthday.

The capital Sanaa, Ibb, Hajjah, Hodeidah, Saada, Taiz, Dhamar, Amran, Mahweet, Bayda and Jawf provinces are witnessing mass celebrations marking this great occasion that Yemenis have cherished since the dawn of Islam.

It is expected that the number of participants in the celebrations on the occasion of the Prophet’s birth in all provinces to exceed the ceiling of 8 million citizens in a demonstration of love and loyalty, which is the largest in the history of Yemen.
