Foreign Minister meets UN Resident Coordinator

SANAA, Nov. 3 (YPA) – Foreign Minister Hisham Sharaf met on Sunday with the UN Resident Coordinator in Yemen Lise Grande.

At the meeting, the officials discussed a joint work mechanism between the ministry and the UN organizations, programs and agencies working in Yemen.

The minister praised the important humanitarian role played by the UN to alleviate the humanitarian disaster as a result of the Saudi-led aggression coalition.

Sharaf affirmed that continuing the aggression and imposing economic siege on the Yemenis escalate the humanitarian situation.

For her part, the UN official praised efforts of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs to cooperate and to facilitate the international organizations’ work in Yemen.
