President’s speech reflects sincerity of political will to confront corruption: SNAAC

SANAA, Oct. 31 (YPA) – The Supreme National Authority for Combating Corruption (SNACC) on Thursday said what was stated Wednesday by President of the Supreme Political Council Mahdi al-Mashat affirmed the sincerity of political will in the fight against corruption.

At its extraordinary meeting, which dealt with what stated in the President’s speech during the inauguration of the first phase to combat manifestations of extortion, bribery and corruption in the state institutions, SNACC emphasized the need to implement the national vision for building the modern Yemeni state with regard to the control system in order to achieve good governance.

The Authority considered the President’s speech a motivation for the official and community institutions and citizens to face corruption in all its forms, especially those targeting citizen directly.

SNACC indicated that the Supreme Political Council’s bias alongside the citizen represents a new philosophy in the country’s governance, affirming its commitment to the tasks entrusted to it in accordance with the national legislation system and anti-corruption international conventions.
