Yemeni army repels mercenaries’ attack in Taiz

TAIZ, Oct. 28 (YPA) – The Yemeni army on Monday repelled a large-scale attack carried out by mercenaries loyal to Saudi-led coalition in Taiz province, southwestern Yemen, a military official told Yemen Press Agency.

According to the official, the battle, which took place in Hifan area, left dozens of the mercenaries dead and wounded, including military leaders.

He confirmed that the attackers suffered heavy casualties during their attempt.

On Saturday,  the Yemeni army repelled  an attack of US-backed Saudi-led aggression coalition’s mercenaries in Kadeha area of Maafir district, the official said.

The army killed and injured tens of the mercenaries and destroyed a military vehicle belonging to them during the attack.
