Saudi Arabia, Israel, US pave way for foreign intervention in Iraq: Tehran

TEHRAN, Oct. 26 (YPA) – A senior Iranian official on Saturday accused the United States, Israel and Saudi Arabia of exploiting Iraqi people’s real demands to pave the way for foreign intervention in the country.

“These countries seek to destabilize the security and stability of Iraq, topple the elected government and create the atmosphere for foreign intervention in Iraq by exploiting the real demands of the Iraqi people,” said Hussein Amir Abdullahian, an adviser to the speaker of the Iranian parliament.

He added, “This country follows the method of employing Baathists of the late Iraqi President Saddam Hussein and infiltrators in order to exploit them to hinder the work of the government.”

The Iranian official stressed that the real solution lies only in the actual interest in the people’s living demands and the immediate withdrawal of US military forces from Iraq.
