President al-Mashat directs Industry Ministry to prepare price list of commodities

SANAA, Oct. 22 (YPA) – President of the Supreme Political Council Mahdi al-Mashat on Tuesday directed Ministry of Industry to prepare an inclusive price list of basic commodities and to oblige shops’ owners to comply with it and to take legal procedures against violators.

During his meeting with Finance Minister Sharaf al-Din Al-Kahlani, Industry and Trade Minister Abdulwahab al-Durra, Deputy Minister of Industry Mohammed al-Hashimi and Chief of the Chamber of Commerce in the Capital Sanaa Hassan al-Kbous, President al-Mashat called on the private sector to assume its national responsibilities and contribute effectively to alleviate the suffering of the people as a result of aggression and siege.

The President urged all responsible agencies to put an end to the manipulation in prices through developing appropriate mechanisms to continue monitoring traders and markets.

In this regard, the President stressed that the Political Council would provide the required support to the concerned authorities to carry out its role in controlling prices and stopping the manipulators.
