SANAA, Oct. 21 (YPA) – Information Minister Daifallah al-Shami met on Monday with Franz Rauchenstein, the head of delegation of the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) in Yemen to discuss enhancing cooperation between two sides.
At the meeting, the officials stressed on the importance of coordinating between the two sides for visiting the ICRC’s media team to brief on the worsening humanitarian situation and the suffering of the Yemeni people due to the Saudi-led aggression coalition and its siege imposed on Yemen.
The minister confirmed the Government’s keenness on the humanitarian dealings with by the prisoners and the wounded of the other party, which ICRC is briefed on that.
Al-Shami said that his ministry allowed entering several international media teams to Yemen earlier, but the aggression countries prevented that.
The ICRC official confirmed the ICRC’s keenness to know its humanitarian activities in coordination with the Ministry to carry out its tasks impartially to alleviate the suffering citizens in the affected areas.
