Al-Aidarous sends letters to chiefs of UN, Arab League, ASSECAA
SANAA, Oct. 21 (YPA) – Speaker of the Shura Council Mohammed al-Aidarous on Monday sent letters to each of UN’s chief and officials, Secretary General of Arab League, President of Association of Senates, Shoora and Equivalent Councils in Africa and the Arab World (ASSECAA).
The letters included an extensive explanation on violations of ceasefire in Hodeidah province and Stockholm agreement by the aggression forces led by Saudi regime, as well as Saudi-led coalition airstrikes and bombardment on Saada, Hajjah and other provinces in Yemen.
The Shura speaker’s letters also referred to the continued comprehensive blockade on Yemen by the coalition forces in full view of the international community with aim of doubling the human suffering of the Yemeni people.
The letters touched on the siege imposed on Durayhimi district of Hodeidah province for more than 300 days, and the prevention of food and medicine access for its inhabitants, in flagrant violation of international and humanitarian conventions.
In this regard, the letters indicated that the aggression forces targeted with more than 26 shells a humanitarian aid convoy provided to the residents trapped in the district of Durayhimi, calling for opening humanitarian corridors and intervention to save civilians and wounded in the district.
Al-Aidarous called on heads of those organizations to do their parts to press the aggression coalition countries to stop the aggression, lift the economic blockade on Yemen, and engage in peace consultations so as to contribute to achieving security, stability and peace at the national, regional and international levels.
