MARIB, Oct. 20 (YPA) – Tribesmen on Saturday blocked the international road north of Marib province after violent clashes with coalition-backed militias, informed sources reportedز
According to the sources, the Tribes of Damashqa, one of the bellies of the Obeida tribe in Marib province, managed to cut off the international road in the Area of A’arqeen, which links Marib city to the Area of Rawick.
The sources added that the tribes managed to break a major military offensive carried out by the coalition militias reinforced by multiple military units sent by the so-called Third Military Zone of the Hadi Government.
The sources revealed that dozens of fighters and military units sent by the military zone were killed and wounded.
They explained that tribal mediation succeeded in agreeing on a two-day truce between the two sides.
The city of Marib has been witnessing continuous clashes between coalition militancy and the Damashqa tribes in the A’arqeen region for three days, as the Hadi government has been smuggling crude oil from the Safer fields.
