BAYDA, Oct. 19 (YPA)- The Yemeni army backed by popular committees on late Friday repelled an infiltration attempt carried out by mercenaries hired by Saudi-led coalition in the province of Bayda, in central Yemen, a military official told Yemen Press Agency.
According to the official, the coalition-backed mercenaries attacked Yemeni positions at al- Zaher front and tried to advance to their positions. However, the army forces forced the attackers into retreat, causing heavy casualties on their ranks during the failed attack.
