Hodeidah local authority condemns blocking aid access to al-Durayhimi
HODEIDAH, Oct. 14 (YPA) – The local authority in Hodeidah province on Monday condemned the US-Saudi aggression coalition forces’ prevention of a food and relief aid convoy access to al-Durayhimi city’s inhabitants, who have been besieged for nearly a year.
“The aggression coalition forces prevented, for the second time in less than a month, a food convoy of eight tankers from entering the city in the presence of representatives of international organizations,” the local authority said in a statement.
The statement condemned the determination of the aggression coalition to prevent the arrival of food and oil derivatives, in light of the silence of the United Nations and the international community.
The local authority held the aggression coalition responsible for the repercussions of the humanitarian catastrophe in the city of al-Durayhimi, calling on the United Nations to play its role in disclosing those who prevent the arrival of aid and pressing for the entry of the convey.
