Iran accuses Saudi Arabia of involvement in oil tanker attack

TEHRAN, Oct. 11 (YPA) – Iranian media accused Saudi Arabia of being involved in targeting an Iranian oil tanker off the coast of Jeddah with two missiles on Friday morning.

The geographical characteristics of the attack that took place in the Red Sea, 60 miles from the Saudi city of Jeddah, leads to an initial guess that Saudi Arabia was involved in this attack,” Iran’s Al-Alam TV Channel said in a news report.

The channel added “If investigations proved the missiles that targeted the Iranian tanker were launched from Saudi Arabia, then it will become clear that this state is responsible for all cases of instability in the region, including the recent naval attacks.”
