Military spokesman: Yemeni Air Forces conduct 54 operations targeting Saudi economic, military positions

SANAA, Oct. 8 (YPA) – Yemen’s military spokesman, Brigadier General Yahya Sare’e on Tuesday said that the Air Forces conducted 56 aerial operations, including 54 operations targeting military positions, installations and bases deep inside the Saudi enemy and only two operations inside Yemen during August and September 2019.

Brigadier General Yahya Sare’e confirmed at a press conference held in Sanaa that most of these operations targeted military and vital installations belonging to the Saudi enemy, including an operation on a sensitive military target in Riyadh.

He pointed out that the most prominent operations of the air force are the first and second “Balance of Deterrence”, which targeted the Aramco refineries in Abaqiq and Khuris in eastern Saudi Arabia.

“The air defense carried out several operations, including counter-attacks against the aircraft of aggression, and actively participated in the operation of ” Victory from God”  in its first and second phases with 45 operations,” he said.

The spokesman revealed that the months of August and September witnessed a strategic shift in the course of the battle with the Saudi-led aggression and its tools of those involved in the betrayal of the homeland, represented by what the army and popular committees have achieved in terms of military operations of large-quality in various axes and fronts.

He said the Yemeni armed forces succeeded in carrying out 241 different offensive operations targeting enemy positions and movements, including 50 incursions and control and 68 raids, most notably on the axes of Jizan, Najran and Asir.

He further explained that the operation ” victory from God”  in its first and second phases topped the list of the largest operations of the army and popular committees.
