Ship carrying 40 passengers lost near Socotra Island

SANAA, Sept. 28 (YPA) – The Yemeni fishermen confirmed that a ship carrying 40 passengers was lost near Socotra Island on Saturday.

The fishermen said that the ship was heading from Qeshan district’s coast in al-Mahrah province to Socotra.

They appealed to local authorities in the governorates of al-Mahrah, Socotra and Hadramout, and the Yemeni Coast Guard to search for the ship.
