ABYAN, Sept.21 (YPA) – Military sources revealed the arrival of large Saudi military reinforcements on Saturday afternoon in the coastal city of Shoqra in Abyan province, southern Yemen.
The sources confirmed that a military convoy includes a number of Saudi military cars, armored vehicles and equiment moved for Shoqra after they arrived in the city of Ataq, the capital of Shabwa province, a few days ago.
Saudi Arabia has set up a military brigade led by Saleh al-Shajri in Laudar city of Abyan, which includes in its ranks 6,000 recruits, according to “Aden Al-Ghad” news website.
For its part, the UAE has sent warships to the coast of Shoqra to attack forces loyal to Hadi and Islah Party, after targeting them in Abyan-Aden road by air strikes that killed and injured more than 300 of them during the past days.
