5+ magnitude earthquake hits Alaska
SANAA, Sept. 17 (YPA) – An earthquake measuring 5.4 on the Richter scale hit the Gulf of Alaska in the United States on Tuesday, the US Geological Survey said.
The quake struck at 1.09 UTC.
The epicenter of the quake was at a depth of 53 km and in an area 42 km from Willow village.
There was no tsunami warning or any reports of damage or casualties from the earthquake.
