NASA’s satellite images show Saudi Abqaiq refineries after drone attack

SANAA, Sept. 14 (YPA) – The US space agency “NASA” on Saturday published satellite images showing smoke plumes rising and spreading over the sky of Saudi Abqaiq province after a Yemeni drone hit its plants.

“Ten drones carried out a large-scale operation, called the second deterrence balance operation, targeting Abqaiq and Khurais refineries of Saudi Aramco,” Brigadier General Yahya Sarei, spokesman for the Yemeni army, said in a statement issued earlier in the day.

Meanwhile, Reuters news agency reported that Saudi oil production has been disrupted after the attack on Aramco and that the attack has affected five million barrels per day of oil production.
