YPC warns of worsening humanitarian situation in Yemen

SANAA, Sept. 14 (YPA) – Yemen Petroleum Company (YPC) on Saturday warned of the worsening humanitarian situation in Yemen due to the continued holding of oil derivatives ships and preventing their access to the port of Hodeidah by Saudi-led coalition.

“The aggression coalition is still holding six oil ships despite obtaining entry permits from the United Nations,” said Ameen al-Shatebi, spokesman of the company.

Al-Shatebi also warned of the disastrous effects that would occur as a result of the continued holding of oil derivatives ships, holding the United Nations responsible for all consequences.

The spokesman explained that the oil ships, currently prevented from reaching the port of Hodeidah, carry more than 87 thousand tons of gasoline and 42 thousand tons of diesel.
