Two earthquakes hit Turkey north-east of capital Ankara

SANAA, Sept. 14 (YPA) – A 4.7-magnitude earthquake hit on Saturday morning north-east of Ankara, the capital of Turkey.

The quake was followed by a 4.8-magnitude tremor just three minutes later, according to Turkey’s Disaster and Emergency Management Presidency.

The first tremor reportedly struck at 9:00 AM in Çankırı Province northeast of the Turkish capital; it was followed by another quake at 9:03 AM local time, according to Sputnik.
