Health Ministry to launch immunization campaign against cholera

SANAA, Sept. 12 (YPA) – Yemen’s Health Ministry announced on Thursday it is to launch an emergency campaign for immunization against cholera on Saturday in the capital Sanaa.

The head of the National Center for Health Education and Information Yousef al-Hadhri, in a statement, affirmed that the second round of the campaign targets three districts of Shaob, al-Wahdah, al-Sabeen.

Al-Hadhri explained that the campaign will be implemented from a house to house through medical facilities and health workers to insure the success of the campaign.

Last weeks, the ministry announced that 818 citizens have been died by cholera epidemic, and 219 others by diphtheria, mostly children, in all Yemeni provinces, since the beginning of 2019.
