Thousands in Saada mark Ashura Day

SAADA, Sept. 10 (YPA) – Thousands of citizens in Saada province took streets on Tuesday to mark Ashura Day.

At the rally, the participants chatted banners and slogans expressing steadfastness and triumphs to foil the aggression’s plots.

They said that the Yemeni people stand united in frontlines with Palestinian people to defend the holy places of the Arab and Islamic nation.

Ashura Day, is Ashura, one of the saddest days of the Muslims calendar, marking the day the grandson of the Prophet Muhammad, Husayn ibn Ali, was martyred in the battle of Karbala.
