37 dead and injured in bus accident in Morocco
SANAA, Sept. 9 (YPA) – At least 11 people were killed Sunday in Morocco after their bus was overturned by a flood in the region of Errachidia in southeast Morocco, local authorities reported on Sunday.
According to France Press agency, authorities said in a statement: The passenger bus overturned in the valley of Damshan in the Khank region “due to flooding in the valley.”
Rescue crews evacuated 27 passengers from the bus, including several injured, after it flipped over on a bridge by “flood waters” in El Khank, the statement added.
Search operations were ongoing, it said, adding that the evacuees had been transferred to hospital in the city of Errachidia.
