Coalition kills, injures 9 civilians in Hodeidah, including 4 children

HODEIDAH, Sept. 5 (YPA) – Saudi/Emirati-led coalition forces and mercenaries on Wednesday stepped up their attacks on residential neighborhoods of Hodeidah province by artillery and machine guns, which left nine dead and wounded, including four children and two women.

A child was killed and another civilian was seriously injured by mortars fired by the coalition mercenaries on al-Raimiya area of al-Tuhita district, while two women and three children were wounded by a mortar in al-Madman area in al-Sowiq village, according to a security source.

The source said that two other civilians were wounded in artillery shelling on neighborhoods of al-Huk district.

He added that the coalition mercenaries fired five artillery shells and bullets of machine guns on civilians’ homes in al-Jah area, as well as 17 shells on Maghari and al-Maqana villages southeast of Hais district, which caused damage to property.
