Man found murdered in Marib

MARIB, Aug. 19 (YPA) – A man identified as Yahya Madraj Raqib Al-Ajda’i was found murdered in his vehicle on Monday east of Marib city, in an area controlled by Islah party factions loyal to the Saudi-led coalition

According to a human rights source in the city, Al-Ajda’i was discovered by local residents inside his pickup truck along the road linking the Al Jalal forts area to Marib city. The vehicle was reportedly loaded with sheep at the time of the incident.

The source stated that an unidentified gunman opened fire on Al-Ajda’i near the Al-Hadsha speed bump, killing him instantly.

The killing is believed to be linked to a tribal revenge dispute involving the Al-Aqil tribe, allegedly in retaliation for the earlier death of a man named Dhaigham Aridan.

Pro-coalition authorities have not issued any statement regarding the incident.

Elements of Al-Qaeda and ISIS, affiliated with the Islah party and reportedly receiving support from the coalition, are spread across camps in Wadi Obeida, including the Al-Samada area, which serves as a stronghold for their leadership.
