Hadi forces capture “Zinjibar” of Abyan Province

ABYAN, Aug. 28 (YPA) – Pro -Saudi-backed forces ” Hadi’s forces and Islah militias (The Yemeni branch of Muslim Brotherhood)” have took control of parts of Abyan province on Wednesday after fierce clashes with the pro-UAE Transitional Council militias, Southern Media reported on Wednesday.

According to Southern sources, Hadi’s forces and Muslim Brotherhood’s militias have taken control over the city of Zinjibar, the center of Abyan province, approaching to the ” point of Dawfs” that links Abyan and Aden provinces after deadly clashes with Southern Transitional Council’s Security belt forces.

The sources added that major collapses are taking place among in the UAE-backed militias prompted the security belt forces in Abyan province to flee to Aden as Hadi’s forces and Islah militias continue to advance towards Aden.

Dozens of people, including civilians, were killed and wounded in clashes between Saudi-backed forces and UAE-backed Security belt militia, the sources said.

The southern Yemeni province of Abyan has been witnessing fierce fighting between Saudi-backed forces and militias of the Southern Transitional Council, backed by the UAE. This was reported by southern media on Tuesday.

The sources confirmed that fierce fighting is taking place in the vicinity of the coastal city of Shaqra, pointing to the advance of Hadi forces and armed groups supporting them in the vicinity of the city.

According to these sources, the Saudi-backed forces have taken full control of Shaqra city and Qarn al-Kalasy military camp.
