Parliament discusses lifting parliamentary immunity for MPs abroad

SANAA, Aug. 27 (YPA) – The Yemeni Parliament on Tuesday discussed the Constitutional and Legal Affairs Committee’s report on a request to lift parliamentary immunity for some the parliament members (MPs) in abroad.

The Parliament members made several observations and proposals in the light of the provisions of the Constitution and the relevant laws in force and the parliament’s internal regulations.

In light of that, the Parliament postponed the completion of the discussion of the report to a future meeting.
