SANAA, Aug. 27 (YPA) – The committee, formed by a number of Shura Council members to follow up on the situation in the southern provinces due to the military conflict, held a meeting on Monday chaired by Deputy Speaker Abdo Mohammed al-Jundi.
The committee discussed the potential concerns of the political situation in Yemen and the challenges facing the state and society in light of the latest developments in the southern part of the country.
The meeting stressed the importance of adhering to the national principles of revolution, republic, unity and homogeneity of the social fabric of all Yemenis.
The vice-president of the Shura Council stressed that seeking for commonalities between Yemenis for communication and dialogue should be top priority for intellectual and political elites throughout the country, in order to ensure the achievement of an inclusive national project that will end the division that has taken place.
Al-Jundi pointed out the importance of rationalizing media discourse and moving towards comprehensive national reconciliation, which was emphasized by the Supreme Political Council, which ensures the Yemeni people freedom, independence and stability.
He pointed to the plots being carried out by the Saudi-led aggression against Yemeni unity by supporting some forces to achieve the goals of the aggression countries in breaking up Yemen and tearing its social fabric apart.
The Committee has approved the continuation of its work to follow developments in the southern provinces.
