Update: Army repels coalition’s large infiltration attempt in Hajjah

HAJJAH, Aug. 23 (YPA) – The Yemen army backed by popular committees on Friday repelled a large-scale infiltration attempt by Saudi-led coalition forces for the second day in row in the west of al-Nar Mountain in Hajjah province off Jizan region, an army official said.

The official confirmed that many coalition soldiers were killed and injured and three military vehicles were destroyed by the army and popular committees fires during the operation.

He added that the army’s missile and artillery units targeted reinforcements of the coalition forces during repelling the infiltration, which doubled the coalition losses.
