TAIZ, Aug. 18 (YPA) – Abu al-Abbas’s group backed by The UAE occupation forces on Saturday broke an attack by Islah militants southwest of Taiz, local sources told Yemen Press Agency.
According to the sources said the “Abu al-Abbas” groups took full control of the entrances to the city of Turbah and the area of al-Ba’arin belonging to the district of Ma’afar, which was attacked by the al-Islah militias ( Muslaim Brotherhood) on Friday afternoon until this morning.
The same sources reported that the group “Abu Abbas” with the help of members of the 35th Armored Brigade retook the checkpoint of al-Ba’arin after bloody clashes, on which four killed and six injured of al-Islah militants and forced the rest to flee.
Infromed sources told Yemen Press Agency that Tareq Afash sent 10 military pickups with two armored vehicles from the side of the MoKha to reinforce the “Abu Al-Abbas” group in the fighting in western Taiz province.
