SANAA, Aug. 17 (YPA) – Mohammed Ali al-Houthi, a member of the Supreme Political Council, has described the events in the occupied areas of Yemen as “marginal battles” created by the Saudi-led coalition and the UAE, in order to “distract attention from its crimes and siege.”
He also warned against distracting from “the main battle against the occupation of Yemen.”
“Media brothers should not be lost in what is happening in the occupied territories; the battle against the occupier should be top priority,” Mohammed al-Houthi said on Friday, referring to the confrontations of rival factions in southern Yemen.
“The US-British-Saudi-Emirati aggression and its allies in Yemen are working hard to deflect the attention from its crimes and siege and its air embargo with marginal battles that are created by the aggression,” he added
Al-Houthi’s warning comes as the Saudi-led coalition and the UAE are stepping up their artillery and missile attacks on several neighborhoods of Hodeidah province and its countryside, on which left about 20 civilians dead and wounded, most of them children and women, in Durayhimi, Beit al-Faqih and At Tuhytah districts.
