TAIZ, April 15 (YPA) – Unknown gunmen on Sunday stormed and looted a money exchange shop in the central of Taiz city, southwest Yemen, eyewitnesses told Yemen Press Agency’s reporter.
The eyewitnesses said that six masked gunmen stormed Al-Yabani Bank in Al-Moghtaribeen Street in downtown the city, confirming the death of the bank’s director after he was shot several times.
The gunmen were riding in a car, and they managed to loot about eight million riyals from the shop and then left to an unknown destination, the eyewitnesses added.
Taiz province is witnessing an unprecedented security chaos in light of the absence of government and security services amid growing of assassinations, robberies and looting of citizens’ property.
