Transitional Council directs its militia to attack northern officials in Aden

ADEN, Aug. 4 (YPA) – Head of the so-called Southern Transitional Council loyal to the UAE Aidarous al-Zabidi directed the council’s armed militias to drag all northern officials and ministers in streets of Aden city, a security official told Yemen Press Agency on Saturday.

It seems that al-Zabidi decided to mix political and military papers in the occupied Aden province, taking advantage of the events have been witnessed by the province since Thursday morning.

Al-Zabidi incited southerners to attack any northern citizens exist in the southern provinces and loot their money, calling on the people of Aden to stand united in what he called “south uprising” against the “northern occupation”.

Armed militias of the so-called security belt have been launching a large-scale campaign of arrests against people of the northern provinces in Aden city since Thursday, deporting hundreds of the northern provinces’ citizens, mostly from Taiz, from the southern city.

On Saturday evening, armed confrontations erupted in al-Tawahi district of Aden between the so-called first presidential protection brigade and the UAE-backed security belt forces.
