Al-Houthi condemns US Sanctions on Iranian Foreign Minister

SANAA, Aug. 1 (YPA) – Mohammad Ali al-Houthi, a member of the Supreme Political Council on Thursday said that the US Sanctions against Iran’s Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif is a sign of weakness and political lightness,.

“The announcement of sanctions against Iran’s foreign minister is a sign of weakness and political lightness, and we condemn it ,” Mohammed Ali al-Houthi said on twitter on Thursday.
“These sanctions will keep every Iranian vigilant, and will recalculate before any opening to America,” he added

“I say to Mr. Zarif: they could not reach their goal from Hizbullah, nor from Mr. Abdul Malik bin Badreddine al-Houthi, nor anyone else, and they will not harm you,” he said.

On Wednesday evening, Washington imposed sanctions on Iranian Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif.

The move came after the Iranian Foreign Minister’s recent visit to New York and his interviews with the American media.

The US Secretary of State Mike Pompeo has openly expressed his anger at Zarif’s interviews with the Us media.
