Stopping aggression, lifting siege are key access to political solution: PM

SANAA, July 22 (YPA) – Prime Minister Dr. Abdulaziz bin Habtoor on Monday said that the cessation of aggression, lifting the siege and reopening Sanaa International Airport are key entrances to reach the political solution and achieve the desired peace.

During his meeting with the International Crisis Group delegation headed by the Group’s Chief Executive Officer Robert Malley, Dr. bin Habtoor confirmed that the political leadership in Sanaa has the national decision to go ahead in the path of peace, while the other party has no will or decision to do so and it is largely subject to Saudi Arabia.

The Prime Minister stressed the importance of the neutral role of the international community in exerting pressure on the party impeding the political process.

He reviewed the great tragedies left by the Saudi-led coalition aggression in various aspects of life and infrastructure of the Yemeni people, as well as its approach to establish the state of division among the people of Yemen and instability.

The meeting dealt with the crisis in the Republic of Yemen mainly caused by the Saudi-Emirati aggression, which some western countries contribute to fueling it by their unlimited political and military support to the aggression states since March 2015.

The meeting also touched on the Sweden Agreement and the importance of commitment to it to go forward in the political process and confidence-building steps between the parties..
