Al-Rawi’s family demands quick trial of killers

ADEN, July 21 (YPA) – Family of the murdered preacher and Salafist leader Samhan Abdulaziz al-Rawi on Sunday held a vigil in front of the Specialized Penal Court in Aden city, southern Yemen, to demand the accelerating of trying the killers.

Al-Rawi’s family called on the court to reveal all the circumstances of the crime and bring all those involved in from planners, financers and assistants to justice to be tried and punished.

This comes in parallel with an active interaction witnessed by media and social communication networks following the leak of investigation files, which revealed names of some figures involved in the crime, most notably the UAE officer “Abu Salama”, and Hani bin Braik, deputy chairman of the so-called “the Southern Transitional Council” and his brother Salah bin Braik.
