Yemen army shoots dead 9 coalition’s mercenaries in Jizan

JIZAN, July 15 (YPA) – Sniper units of the Yemen army on Monday shot dead nine of coalition-backed mercenaries in Jizan border province, a military official told Yemen Press Agency.

The army shot dead five of the mercenaries in front and east Jahfan mount and four others in the east of Dood mount, said the official.

On Sunday, the sniper units of the army gunned down ten of coalition’s mercenaries in the east of Dood mount, and on Tuesday the army snipped three Saudi soldiers in front of Jahfan and Tuliq mounts.

On May and June, the sniper units of the army gunned down 19 Saudi soldiers in border fronts,  according to a statement by the Yemeni armed forces Brig. Yahya Sari, who announced that the operations of sniping during this period has killed and injured 2577 soldiers in the ranks of mercenaries, 19 Saudi soldiers and nine of Sudanese soldiers.

Sari confirmed that the sniping operations caused the destruction of 30 military vehicles and 15 heavy and medium weapons of the coalition’s forces on various fronts and internal border.
