SANAA, April 12 (YPA) – Sudanese officials and activates on Thursday demanded Sudanese government to withdraw its soldiers that backing Saudi-led coalition’s war in Yemen, in a joint statement released in Sudanese capital Khartoum and reported by AFP.
Ghazi Salah al-Dain, a former Sudanese minister of state for foreign affairs, was quoted that “people are asking about the benefit we got from the decision to send troops to Yemen, but they do not get an answer.”
Activist Eslam Saleh was cited as wondering “why we engage in a war that has nothing to do with us?”
“Those Sudanese soldiers who had been killed in this war were victims of the Sudanese regime’s corruption.
Last week, the Yemeni army killed at least 90 Sudanese mercenaries in Medi front between northern Yemen and the southern Saudi borders.
