President discusses efforts to arrange administrative situation in judiciary

SANAA, July 7 (YPA) – President of the Supreme Political Council Mahdi al-Mashat on Sunday discussed with Head of the Supreme Judicial Council Judge Ahmed al-Mutawakil efforts to arrange judiciary’s administrative situation to enable it to perform its functions to the fullest.

The President stressed the need to continue efforts to activate the role of the judiciary and strengthen its independence in accordance with the national vision for building the Yemeni modern state.

In the meeting, Judge al-Mutawakil briefed President al-Mashat on the preliminary results of field visits to the courts and prosecution offices, as well as efforts made to accelerate the decision on cases pending before the courts.

He expressed appreciation for the President’s interest and his support to the judiciary so as to enhance its role in achieving justice.
