30 million Yemeni riyals looted by unknown gunmen in Aden

ADEN, July 6 (YPA) – Unknown gunmen have carried out an armed robbery against a car belonging to an exchange company on Wednesday, in the southern port city of Aden, local sources told Yemen Press Agency.

According to the sources, masked armed elements intercepted a car belonging to the “Bin Yazid Exchange” on the 90th Street of Mansoura district, and looted about 30 million riyals that were aboard the car.

The gunmen seized the money after they threatened to kill the driver and his escort, fleeing to an unknown destination after the robbery.

In May, gunmen in the Khor Maksar area had already looted 40 million riyals, which were earmarked for public prosecution officials in Abyan province.
