MAHRAH, July 6 (YPA) – Dozens of activists in Yemen’ southern province of Mahrah on Saturday held a protest rally to show a solidarity with a journalist detained by the Saudi occupation forces and its militias in the province.
At the rally, the protesters condemned Arbitrary and illegal measures against the journalist Yahiya al-Sawari by Saudi occupation and its militias.
The participants threatened to organize massive rally to demand the occupation and its militias to release al-Sawari.
On Thursday, the Saudi forces and militias detained a correspondents of Balqees channel TV Yahiya al-Sawari after participating in protest rallies against the foreign forces in the southern province.
The Yemeni Journalists’ Union renewed its demand to free al-Sawari, and respect the right the journalists, being protected by the international law.
