SANAA, July 2 (YPA) – Prime Minister Dr. Abdulaziz bin Habtoor on Tuesday said that the unilateral initiative launched by the Supreme Political Council confirms the political leadership’s keenness to solve the salaries problem, for its importance in addressing difficulties experienced by millions.
In a speech at a festival held in Sanaa on the World Day Against Child Labor, the premier indicated that the initiative comes within the framework of Stockholm understandings on the economic aspect and in light of intransigence of the other party continuing to impede the implementation of the agreement terms.
Dr. bin Habtoor pointed out that the important decision taken by the Council to open an account at the branch of the Central Bank in Hodeidah to deposit revenues of the ports of Hodeidah, Salif and Ras Issa and allocate them to pay salaries, would have a great effect in removing all allegations and justifications exploited by Saudi-led coalition to prolong the suffering of the Yemeni people.
On Monday evening, the Supreme Political Council launched a unilateral initiative on salaries of employees and directed the government to put revenues of Hodeidah ports in a special account at in the Central Bank’s branch in Hodeidah.
The Council held the other party fully responsible in the event of evasion of the agreed understanding on the economic file during Sweden consultations.
