Saudi Abha International Airport struck by Yemeni drone attacks again

SANAA, July 2 (YPA) – The Yemeni army early Tuesday launched another wave of aerial attacks on Abha airport in Asir region in the south of Saudi Arabia, the spokesman of the Yemeni armed forces, Brigadier General Yahya Sarea said in statement.

Sarea said the Air Force launched drone attacks on Abha International Airport, using Qasif-K2 drones, targeting warplanes locations.

He said that the attacks hit targets with high accuracy.

He confirmed that “The Saudi regime is trying not to admit the results of these operations on the airport traffic, especially the traffic stops for several hours after every operation of the Air Force.”

The Spokesman added that the attacks disrupted the air navigation at the airport.

“The Saudi regime will not be able to continue the movement of air navigation towards the targeted airports,” he said.

This marks at least the fifth time that Abha airport was attacked by Yemeni retaliation strikes.
