Mass march in Socotra against UAE occupation

SOCOTRA, June 30 (YPA) – Thousands in Yemen’s southern province of Socotra protested on Saturday against the United Arab Emirates (UAE) occupation’s military presence in the province.

During the march, the protesters stressed on the importance of enhancing the internal unit to back the local authority for confronting the UAE-backed militias that target security of the province.

The demonstrators raised the Yemen flag and banners rejection of the UAE’s plots and its militias to spread chaos and destabilize security and stability for taking over and looting wealth of Socotra Island and its ports.

The Saudi-led coalition, including the UAE has been launching a military operation against Yemen’s sovereignty and internal affairs since March 26, 2015, in the flagrant violations of the international conventions.
