ADEN, Jan. 22 (YPA) – The presidential guard forces of the resigned president Abd Rabbo Mansour Hadi on Sunday prevented a military helicopter belonging to the occupying United Arab Emirates forces from landing in the city of Aden, informed sources said.
The sources did not disclose to the Yemeni Press Agency the reasons that led the militants loyal to Hadi to take these measures, which observers consider a provocation to Abu Dhabi.
No official authority has even commented on the reasons for preventing the plane from landing at Aden airport.
On February 2, 2017, the UAE forces prevented the landing of a plane belonging to Hadi, while the airport witnessed continuous clashes between Hadi’s forces and the so-called the UAE-backed security belt forces.
The so-called security belt forces on May 30, 2017, under the direct supervision of the UAE, prevented a Yemeni plane carrying salaries of recruits and civilians from landing in Aden airport.
