HADRAMOUT, June 24 (YPA) – A citizen was shot dead by unknown gunmen in the city of Ḥaḍramawt, eastern Yemen, local sources told Yemen Press Agency on Monday.
According to local sources, unknown gunmen killed the citizen in Al Qatn District.
The incident is the eighth case of assassinations, which took place in Hadhramout province in less than six days ago, without arresting or prosecution of those carrying out the assassinations.
Sources told the Yemen Press Agency that the surge of assassinations in Hadramout comes as a result of the mounting tension between the occupation militias.
The province of Hadramout would be the next, after the province of Shabwah, which has been witnessing bloody confrontations between the Islah party backed by the Saudis on the one hand, and the militias affiliated with the UAE occupation forces, the one of the sources said.
The high surge of assassinations in Hadramout may be a beginning to violent confrontations that the province will witness in the coming days, and its signs have begun to appear through the mobilization of forces by the coalition rival militias to the province in preparation for the confrontations.
