Official spokesman speaks of missile attack on Saudi Abha Airport

SANAA, June 12 (YPA) – The official spokesman for Ansrullah Mohammed Abdel Salam on Wednesday commented on the Yemeni missile attack on Saudi Abha Airport with a winged cruise missile.

“The continued aggression, blockade, the closure of Sanaa Airport, rejection of a political solution and the peaceful choice make it imperative for our people to defend themselves,” Mohamed Abdel Salam said on Twitter.

“Today, The Missile Forces of the Army and popular committees fired a winged cruise missile at Abha Airport, which hit its target with high accuracy and caused a suspension of flights at the airport,” he added.

“The winged missile hit the control tower of the airport directly, causing its destruction and putting it out of service,” the spokesman of the Armed Forces stated.

He further confirmed that the missile completely slipped past all US-made modern and air defence system that Saudi Arabia used.
