QUDS, June 1 (YPA) – More than a quarter of a million of Palestinians on Friday performed prayers of the last Friday of the holy month of Ramadan in Al-Aqsa Mosque in Quds city.
The fasting worshipers flocked to Al-Aqsa Mosque in the city since the early hours of dawn from all Palestinian cities except the Gaza Strip to perform the last Friday prayers of Ramadan in the mosque and to spend the night of fate (Lilalatu al-Qadr) therein.
“More than 260 thousand worshipers (more than a quarter of a million) performed prayers of the fourth and last Friday of Ramadan in Al-Aqsa,” said Sheikh Azzam al-Khatib, director-general of Awqaf and Al-Aqsa Mosque Affairs.
Sheikh Al-Khatib explained that health institutions have spread throughout Al-Aqsa Square since the morning to provide the necessary services for worshipers coming to Al-Aqsa.
