6.6 magnitude earthquake hits coast of Salvador

SANAA, May 30 (YPA) – A Powerful earthquake measuring 6.6 on the Richter scale hit off the coast of Salvador on Thursday , the he US Geological Survey reported.

According to Reuters, the US Geological Survey said a magnitude 6.6 earthquake occurred off the coast of Salvador, 40 km south of La Libertad.
The US Tsunami Warning Center said there was no warning of these waves on the coasts of the western United States.
